Summer Baseball Camp 7-12 Year Olds
Summer Baseball Camp for 7-12 year olds kicked off on Monday morning at the Urban Youth Academy. Over 60 kids converged for baseball camp which will continue through the end of the week.
On Monday and Tuesday, two trainers from Athletes Performance came out to lead stretching and agility drills for the first hour of camp. The next two hours consisted of 15-minute stations which included sliding, infield, throwing, batting cages, outfield and catching. The stations were led by Academy coaches and Academy Airmen baseball players.
Wednesday’s session will consist of stretching, drills and team organization. The kids will be split up into teams and will compete in games on Thursday and Friday.
