As the event was getting kicked off, photographers gather to get a full group photo of all the teams participating in the 2008 RBI World Series.

Announcement regarding Workouts at UYA.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
- The Urban Youth Academy will be unavailable for workouts during the RBI World Series from August 6th, 2008 through August 18th, 2008.
- There will be no Fall League 9-12 year old workouts as well during the RBI World Series from August 6th, 2008 through August 18th, 2008. The coaches will contact players for rescheduling of workouts. No schedules are available now, but all participants will be contacted regarding schedules.
- The RBI World Series is open for fans to come out and watch the games. For a schedule of games, please visit the UYA blog, http://mlburbanyouthacademy.mlblogs.com/

RBI World Series in the news!
Yesterday, there was a nice write-up about the RBI World Series by Robert Falkoff of MLB.com. As the RBI Series revs up, the Urban Youth Academy is getting everything ready to give the participants the best experience possible. Banners are being hung. Equipment is getting prepped.
