Today at the Academy

Dear Academy Members and Friends,

Happy Friday!

Today’s baseball open workout is for ages 12 and under from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Today’s softball open workout is also for ages 12 under, but from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Tutoring for young boys and girls of all ages is from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the computer room.

Today’s baseball activity includes an open workout for ages 13-18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be catching instruction at 4:30 p.m., followed by pitching lessons at 5:30 p.m.

On the softball side, we also have a workout for ages 13-18, but from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Softball pitching for all ages will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tutoring for youth of all ages is from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the computer room.

Urban Youth Academy’s 2nd Annual Community Day

Dear Academy Members and Friends,

The Academy will be hosting its 2nd Annual Community Day on next Saturday, February 1, 2014. Events will commence at 8 a.m. and will include a college, health, and resource fair as well as Compton College’s home opener. We hope you all will join us in celebration of the City of Compton and the wonderful people that make this community outstanding!

Dear Academy Members and Friends,

Catching instruction for baseball begins at 10:30 a.m. and is followed by pitching instruction at 11:30 a.m.

Softball’s 12 and under pitching and catching instruction begins at 10:30 a.m. The 13 and older pitching and catching workout takes place at 11:30 a.m.

Today is one of the last days to see some local high school baseball teams play in the Martin Luther King Jr. Tournament. Make sure you stop by to catch a game. Please see previous posts for scheduling details.

Dear Academy Members and Friends,

We have a full day ahead!

Baseball fundamentals for all ages takes place between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The 12 and under softball workout is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by the 13 and older softball workout at 12:30 p.m.

Tutoring is available to all members from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Coach Rocky.

The Martin Luther King Jr. High School Baseball Tournament continues this weekend. For the schedule of games, see previous posts.
