U.S.A. / Japan Series – COMPLETE success!
Good Afternoon Everyone
Here is a recap of the Labor Day weekend event, The U.S.A. / Japan Baseball Series.
First of all, thank you to everyone that had a hand in putting together this event. To the participants, thank you for representing the Academy with high standards and in a prefessional manner.
U.S.A. Roster-

Ybarra, Thomas Walker, Kerry Kelley, Jerry Keel, Kyle Twomey, Aki Yamamoto, Marcos Lara, Austin Wilson, Dominic Smith, Mark Silva, Ryan Garvey, Ron Miller, Ryan Keller, Robert Gsellman, Teyrey Gatewwod and Mike Martin

The U.S.A team went into the third and final showdown against Japan down 2 games. They knew it was do-or-die, as this was the last game of the series. The final score was 2-1, putting U.S.A. on top. Team U.S.A.’s record in the series was 1-2.
Here are some top performers for the U.S.A. team:
J.P. Crawford led the team in batting average, hitting .444 with 4 hits, 1 double, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored in 9 opportunities.
Gosuke Katoh hit .429 with 3 hits and 1 run scored in 7 opportunities.
Darrell Miller hit .400 with 4 hits, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored in 10 opportunities.
There were 2 homeruns hit by the U.S.A. team, one by Dominic Smith and the other by Ryan Garvey.
