To have some fun, I have re-posted a picture from our Golf and Baseball Clinic at the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Anaheim, California. It was such a good time had by all, that I thought we could have some more with…
Under the large tree
Do the kids go eat, rested
They say lets play two!
I went with Haiku style with a splash of Ernie Banks, but I want to see what our readers can come up with. Please write your own little poem in the comments section so that we can all read some baseball inspired poems.
- A fairly short poem
- Subject should be baseball inspired
- No profanity or offensive language
Today at the Tiger Woods Learning Center, the boys and girls of the Urban Youth Academy took the day off to enjoy some golf and baseball clinics taught by the wonderful instructors at the TWLC and the Urban Youth Academy.
The clinic was designed to instill the fundamentals of both golf and baseball. Six stations were set up around the ten acre facility to focus on different aspects of each sport. Here young men practice the art of putting.
The putting greens were a flurry with young would-be golfers trying to sink the put at the Tiger Woods Learning Center’s Golf Facility. The youngsters were guided by professional instructors.
Ready, Aim, Swing!
A young softball star readies her swing as a UYA coach looks on. This clinic was designed to encourage both boys and girls to acquire the skills needed to play baseball and golf. At the batting cages, a softball and a baseball area were designated allowing the young ladies attending to get plenty of cracks at the ball.
Coaches also worked with the kids attending on how to catch pop-ups. Click the picture to the right to see the full sized picture:
All in all, the boys and girls of the Urban Youth Academy seemed to truly enjoy themselves at the Tiger Woods Learning Center. Friendships were made and bonds were strengthened.
Below, I’ve also included a flickr slideshow to show off some of the other photos taken at the clinic. Please enjoy!
